Remove Sean Plunket from BSA board
Sean Plunket resigned from the BSA only hours after the launch of this campaign!

We want Sean Plunket to be immediately removed from the board of the Broadcasting Standards Authority and apologise for his recent actions.
Why is this important?
Sean Plunket is totally unsuitable for the role. On multiple occasions he has displayed abusive behaviour on public forums such as twitter. He has used his positions of power to belittle, condescend, and harass people of differing views and violated several of the standards the authority is meant to uphold.
Recently he has defended someone accused of sexual assault and made light of the serious topic. This harmful expression from a person in a position of power and complete lack of remorse for his actions make him completely unsuitable for the role.
Further, he has publicly criticised and bullied several journalists and broadcasters on public forums in recent months - often reverting to personal insults. This puts him in a very biased position if he were to rule on a complaint related to any of them.
This pattern of behaviour has extended over a number of years. In 2015 two complaints were lodged with the BSA regarding his bullying personal attack on Man Booker Prize winner Eleanor Catton when he was a presenter on RadioLive.
Sean Plunket should immediately be removed from the board of the Broadcasting Standards Authority and apologise for the harm his comments have caused.
