Let returning Kiwis use Australian superannuation for first home buyers under Kiwisaver scheme

Allow returning New Zealand citizens to access their Australian superannuation for first home buyers grant under the New Zealand Kiwisaver scheme.

Why is this important?

So many Kiwis are returning home only to be left behind in the housing market. The Australian and NZ government have agreed that Kiwis whom are returning to NZ for good can transfer their Australian superannuation to a selected NZ super.

The problem is the same rules apply on the money if it is to be in Australia or New Zealand which means many Kiwis having more than enough for a deposit are forced to start again and have no control of the money earned down under until the age 65.

If the money can be transfered country-country then the rules on the money should be controlled by the bank that actually holds the money.
