Act for Afghanistan Roundtable

Join us as we continue to call for the government to extend kindness beyond our borders and do more for Afghanistan.

On Thursday the 14th of October at 7-8.30pm, you’re invited to the Act for Afghanistan Roundtable.

At the event, we’ll hear from leaders from the Afghan community and the humanitarian sector on why the government must urgently act for Afghanistan.

Speakers will include; Fullbright Scholar and author Abbas Nazari and legal scholar Shakerah Zakeri from the NZ Afghan community; New Zealand’s Chief Human Rights Commissioner from 2001 to 2011 Rosslyn Noonan; and, on the ground in Afghanistan, World Vision Afghanistan National Director Asuntha Charles. The event will be chaired by journalist Paula Penfold who was reporting in Afghanistan in 2019.

We’ve also invited representatives from each political party and media to join the event on Thursday.

Once you RSVP will be emailed the Zoom link to access the event.
